Emsworth Methodist Church

Fairtrade

The Fairtrade Foundation (follow this link) is committed to the development of fairer trade in products from the developing world.  Fairness is judged by the level of price that is paid to the producers and by the social benefits which they gain in the process of trading.

This church has been committed to buying Fairtrade products for over 20 years and has Fairtrade Church status.  The tea, coffee, sugar, drinking chocolate and orange juice sold in the Pastoral Centre are all fairly traded, and a number of Traidcraft products (cookies, cereal bars and chocolate wafer bars) are available for purchase from the snack table.

Traidcraft is the UK’s leading fair trade company, producing a range of foodstuffs and gifts from the developing world.  Follow this link to find out more www.traidcraft.co.uk

In Emsworth, we have a Traidcraft stall on the third Saturday morning of each month, starting at 10am and after Morning Worship on the fourth Sunday of each month. To contact our local “fair traders”,  telephone 023 9248 4269 or click here to send an e-mail.
